Ascender, a magazine dedicated to exploring modern art and its profound impact on the world, delves into the intricacies of how even the most traditional of thought is influenced by modernism. Through in-depth analyses, thought-provoking editorials, and captivating visuals, Ascender showcases how modern art transcends mere aesthetics to shape societal norms, challenge conventions, and spark critical dialogues across diverse cultures. Ascender Layout
I designed this in a way that reflects the chaos that is bred from modern art. This is done in a way that compels the reader to journey through the magazine without being overwhelmed. The whole layout was inspired by various magazines and this whole project was designed in Adobe illustrator.
Church Signage Refresh
The church I attend needed a refresh of signage due to a location change. I wanted to really stand out with the kids and young adults signage while also communicating a clear message. These banners would go outside of different classrooms to communicate where each group was meeting.
Likewise, the church meeting place has a large outdoor courtyard, so fresh signage was needed to help kick life groups off, to show where the outreach donations go, and to communicate part of the vision of the church: “A place to belong.” The church was pleased and I had a great time making these!
Invite Cards
The client wanted a clean and updated card to handout to people on the street, and leave at local coffee shops. The design is clean and easily readable. They wanted something bold and simple, and this look did exactly that.
